Solution Therapy Massage
A Great Massage Therapy Technique
Hello everyone! This is Dainah Craft, owner and lead massage therapist at Health Yourself Massage. This is our new website, and I wanted to start my first blog by explaining our specialty – solution therapy massage. So, you may ask, what in the world is solution therapy massage?
About 95% of massage therapy businesses offer what most are familiar with: Swedish massage (or relaxation therapy), deep tissue massage and sports massage. These are all great massage techniques which we offer as well. However, knowing the golfers, tennis players, weekend warriors and people who just like to workout at health clubs, your bodies need more than just a massage. That’s how we decided to introduce solution therapy massage techniques. It’s a method that helps heal sore muscles and tendons. It also helps improve your overall athletic performance.
Eliminating Chronic Pain
Solution therapy simply means therapy specifically tailored to address yours needs. Clients receiving solution therapy work with us to eliminate various musculoskeletal issues such as chronic headaches, back pain, or carpel tunnel syndrome. Typically, it usually involves 3-6 sessions with various specialized massage therapy techniques, during which time we monitor your progress and measure your results. It just means that you solve the problem causing your aches and pains. You don’t just mask it with temporary relief methods.
Massage Therapy Benefits
Even if you don’t think you have an issue serious enough for solution therapy, massage therapy benefits everyone! Massage is one those rare things in this life that feels good, and is good for you (I wish I could say the same about sweets). Massage has been shown to reduce stress hormones, improve circulation, reduce or even eliminate muscle tension, and increase the overall function of the body’s immune system. Routinely getting a massage is a great way to take care of yourself and prevent sickness and chronic pain later on in life.
So whether you seek a traditional massage technique or if you want to work out kinks and pain so you can hit the golf ball further, swing that tennis racket longer and have the workout of your life, then try solution therapy massage. It works.
Be Well!

Dainah,
I am so sore after every time I play tennis. I think I may not warm up correctly or I’m just out of shape. What type of stretches should I do to help prevent getting a sore hip? Thanks. Crystal.
Crystal,
There are some great warm-up stretches that should help reduce soreness after playing. I will include these on a future post so we can share them with everyone.
Regards,
Dainah
